Senior Accountant - Richmond, VA

Reporting to the CEO, the onsite Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the day-to-day finance, payroll processing, vendor payments and receivables, banking, and checking. This hands-on role is non-supervisory supporting operations in six states and 35 employees with a budget of $20M.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day financial duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable, process receipt of cash, checks & online transactions, credit card reconciliation and all related general ledger entries in the accounting system.
  • Serve as the liaison to the external contract CFO who provides monthly financial reporting, bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring, budget preparation and audit oversight.
  • Set up systems and procedures as required supporting timely and accurate invoicing of partners, management of billing information and producing internal financial reports as required.
  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring hours worked and paid time off are tracked and administered according to company policies as well as federal and local law.
  • Ongoing maintenance of online accounting/payroll system ensuring that employee and organizational information is kept up to date.
  • Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors.
  • All other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or related area is highly preferred.
  • Minimum five years’ progressive finance and accounting experience exhibiting high accuracy and ethical standards.
  • Recent system conversions and process improvements exp. desirable
  • Payroll data entry and processing experience, preferably using Paychex
  • Skilled in accounting systems, preferably using online QuickBooks.
  • Skilled in MS office with an in-depth knowledge of Excel.
  • Exercises confidentiality on sensitive issues and practices discretion on behalf of CCR.
  • Promotes and adheres to CCR’s mission, vision, and values, policies, and applicable laws in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Represents CCR in a professional manner to the community, vendors, and internal personnel.
  • On site work is 9 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment background screening

Claims Processor Data Team Member -  Richmond, VA

Responsible for assisting in the administration of Federal Nutrition Program administered by Child Care Resources, Inc. including child care centers, afterschool programs, community centers, Elementary schools, libraries, and adult daycare centers participating in the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) under the sponsorship of Child Care Resources.  This position includes all aspects of Monthly Claim Reviews.

  • Extensive computer use
  • Organizing files (both physical and digital)
  • Answering questions about CACFP Regulations, and using appropriate judgment, considering the consequences of disclosure

CACFP Field Representative - Dallas/FW, TX

Responsible for assisting in on-site compliance review visits for the Federal Nutrition Program administered by Child Care Resources, Inc. at child care centers, afterschool programs, community centers, Elementary schools, libraries, and adult daycare centers participating in the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Visiting centers, providing constructive feedback, being the face of Child Care Resources, providing one-on-one training, being a mentor, offering technical assistance, being a problem solver, filling out review forms, turning in reports in a timely manner.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Masters Preferred)
Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills.
Base Salary (Based on education and/or relevant experience):

$20-30/hour

Part Time without benefits/Full Time permanent with full benefits

Child Care Teacher/Office Worker - Richmond, VA

This is a special position for a talented person. Small Preschool inside a corporate office. So you'll be within an office environment, with excellent benefits. There are 4 children max ages infant through 3, with beautiful Infant/Preschool classroom. Brand new furniture, toys, and supplies.

You need to be versatile. Serving food, diapering, cleaning, setting up toys, taking out garbage, being super-nice and loving, singing nursery rhymes, reading stories, and cleaning faces. You’ll follow a daily schedule of snack, songs, outdoor play, indoor play, lunch, nap, etc. The same routine everyday. Monday through Friday, 8:45-5:15 with a half hour break. Must keep the center clean, sanitized, and the children SAFE and HAPPY.

You’ll be in charge, with parents on-site in case of a problem. Must take direction well from parents, be service minded, surprise the parents with your extra friendliness. This is more than a child care job, this is a chance to run your own small business in a professional environment filled with white collar workers.

Must be on-time, responsible, reliable, and ready to go. College degree required. CPR and First Aid Certification, reliable transportation, ability to lift 15 pounds, previous child care experience a must. Looking for long-term employment with advancement opportunities.
